Critics Choice Super Awards 2023 Nominations Announced: ‘The Batman’ Leads the List

The nominations for the third annual Critics Choice Super Awards were announced on Wednesday. The awards were launched in 2020 by the Critics Choice Association to ‘recognize the brilliance, creativity, and artistic excellence showcased in genres that, for far too long, have been overlooked by other award shows.’

This year’s nominations are led by The Batman with six nods, including best superhero movie, best actor in a superhero movie, and best actress in a superhero movie. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has closely followed with five nominations, and Everything Everywhere All at Once has gotten five nodes.

The list includes commercial successes like Avatar: The Way of Water, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Top Gun: Maverick. Indian flick RRR, which has made a lot of noise at the Golden Globes and the Oscars, has bagged three nominations.

As for television, HBO’s House of the Dragon, FX’s What We Do in the Shadows, Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys, and Paramount+’s Evil have all received four nods. The winners will be announced on March 16. The full list of nominees is as below:
