It was announced today that Colin Kaepernick, the former NFL quarterback now a father, is about to embark on an exciting new chapter in his life.
There was a prominent announcement on social media Sunday by Kaepernick’s longtime girlfriend, Nessa Diab, about the birth of their first child.
Diab Updated the News On Her Instagram Account
“I thought long and hard about sharing our life-changing news today,” Kaepernick posted on his Instagram account, accompanied by a picture of herself and her husband holding the newborn baby. “I decided to do so because today is the first day in a few weeks where I stepped out for work with a new life title — MOM!”
Diab said it wasn’t long ago when she gave birth, but she didn’t reveal the exact date of the delivery. The baby’s sex and name were also not disclosed by her.
“Recovering after delivery has been a journey (more on that later), and honestly, I wasn’t going to share anything because this is sooooo personal to us, and I realized I’m a complete mama bear!” she explained further. “Colin is the most amazing dad, and I’m so grateful that he is by our side for every moment of this journey.”

There has been a relationship between the two since 2015. Kaepernick and his former San Francisco 49ers teammate Aldon Smith once dated each other, so some rumours were going around at the time about their relationship creating tension between them due to his former teammate dating Kaepernick.
Despite this, they did not allow anyone else’s opinions about their relationship to affect how they felt about each other, which led to a blossoming love between them.
As part of a charity event benefitting children battling heart disease, the two decided to go public with their relationship in 2016, stepping out together at an event. Their desire to help others would also become an essential part of their relationship as their relationship progressed.

In professional football, Colin Rand Kaepernick is best known as a quarterback. During this time, he joined the Nevada Wolf Pack football program at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he attended college. ‘San Francisco 49ers’ selected him as the backup quarterback in the draft’s third round.
As a 25-year-old, he played an integral role in helping the 49ers to reach the NFC championship game. For his protests in 2016 aimed at what he believed to be the oppression of non-white races in America, he received both praise and criticism from many people, both on the left and the right.
Diab is the daughter of Egyptian parents who emigrated to the United States before she was born. In 2012, she hosted Girl Code, a continuation of Guy Code, which she previously worked at iHeartRadio and Power 106 in L.A. She also hosted after-show specials on The Real World, Teen Mom, Snooki & J Woww, and multiple reunions of The Challenge.
Nessa On Air is a nationally syndicated radio show broadcast in over 15 markets and is a prominent voice on New York’s legendary radio station Hot 97.
She was hired in 2018 as the host of Talk Stoop, a popular segment from Cat Greenleaf. The program Diab worked on is the recipient of an Emmy Award® and was nominated for a New York Emmy in 2019.
