For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, the Country Music Association Awards featured plenty of star-studded performances and red carpet fashion. The award show was held on Wednesday night, November 9, 2022.

Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning served as the hosts for the award show. The star-studded award ceremony provided us many memorable and Oh My God moments as well.

The award show kicked off Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert with forming a trio to salute the late Loretta Lynn with a medley of many songs like You Ain’t Woman Enough, You’re Looking at Country, Don’t Come Home A Drinkin’ and Coal Miner’s Daughter.

Soon after, Elle King and the Black Keys paid a homage to Jerry Lee Lewis. Brothers Osborne and the War and Treaty teased a forthcoming Rolling Stones all-star country tribute album on the show.

Who was the big winner of the night?

Luke Combs was honored with entertainer of the year award for the second time at the 56th annual Country Music Association Awards. It wasn’t the only trophy he received, he also bagged the award for album of the year.

At the end of the three-hour ABC telecast from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, Combs said, “I want to thank country music for making my dreams come true. This is my fifth or sixth year being at this awards show, and country sounded a lot more country than it has in a long time.”

In addition to this, Lainey Wilson who led the list of nominees this year, took home the award for female artist of the year as well as best new artist, meanwhile Cody Johnson, nabbed the award for single of the year and video of the year for Til You Can’t.

Brothers Osborne won the award for vocal duo of the year for the fifth time, Old Dominion picked up the award for the vocal group award for a sixth time and Chris Stapleton nabbed the award for male vocalist of the year, also for the sixth time.

Old Dominion lead singer Matthew Ramsey also talked about Jeff Cook, the co-founder of the country band Alabama, who passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 and he went on to say, “There’s nobody in this category that would be here without Alabama. Then, he looked at his two bandmates and further added, “I couldn’t imagine losing one of you guys.”
