Citadel, the much-anticipated action thriller series has arrived on Amazon Prime Video with a bang. The show, executive produced by Avengers directors Anthony and Joe Russo, is reported to be one of the most expensive series produced by Amazon.
The show is being touted as a global phenomenon, which will see spin-offs in a number of countries. Citadel premiered on Prime Video with a two-episode special on April 27th. Fans seem to be impressed by the show and are eagerly waiting for the release of the next episode. So when will Citadel episode 3 come out? Read on to find out.
Citadel Episode 3: Release Date and Time
The third episode of Citadel will be released on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, May 5th at 12 am BST. For US viewers, the time translates to 4 pm PT / 7 pm ET on Thursday, May 4th. The title and runtime for the episode have not been announced yet. It has been written by David Weil and Melissa Glenn.
Citadel season 1 is set to feature only six episodes, with new installments coming out every Friday (Thursday in the US). The finale is scheduled to air on May 26th. To watch the show, you need to subscribe to Prime Video. The streaming platform is priced at $8.99 a month.

Citadel is Labeled as a ‘Groundbreaking Global Event’
Citadel is being called a global event, with a mother series and several satellite series planned in different countries. The spin-offs, which will all be a part of the larger universe, are set to take place in Italy, India, Spain, and Mexico.
“Eight years ago, Citadel fell. The independent global spy agency – tasked to uphold the safety and security of all people – was destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows. With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives.”
“They’ve remained hidden ever since, building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts. Until one night, when Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Bernard Orlick, who desperately needs his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order,” reads the official synopsis.
The Series Features an Impressive Cast
Citadel stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas as the two leads, Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh respectively. The cast also includes Stanley Tucci as Bernard Orlick, Lesley Manville as Dahlia Archer, Osy Ikhile as Carter Spence, Ashleigh Cummings as Abby Conroy, Roland Møller as Anders and Davik Silje and Caoilinn Springall as Hendrix Conroy.
The series has been created by David Weil. Apart from the Russo brothers, the executive producers include Sarah Bradshaw, Debra James, Brian Kirk, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, Scott Nemes, Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg, Newton Thomas Sigel and Patrick Moran.
