Christine Quinn who famously starred on the Selling Sunset star has left the Netflix reality show. Quinn will not make a comeback in season 6 or 7!
Selling Sunset is a Netflix show that follows real-estate agents of the high-end Los Angeles real-estate firm Oppenheim Group. Quinn’s exit from the show was not predicted as she was a significant part of the show up until now.
Her relationship and marriage to Christian Richard and rivalry with Chrishell Stause offered the viewers with essential components such as drama and romance.
Why Did Christine Quinn Leave?
While on the show, Quinn also stirred up some drama that did not go well for her. In season 5 of the show, Emma Hernan claimed that Quinn offered a client $5,000 to stop working with her, although Quinn denied it.
Quinn did not attend season 5’s reunion show. Although she claimed in an interview that she had to miss it because she had COVID and that she was not faking it, others did not buy it.
She also mentioned that she was considering leaving the show so she could focus on her business RealOpen, which is a cryptocurrency-based real estate company.
In May, she appeared on the podcast Call Her Daddy where she publicly criticized the show’s creator Adam Divello. She claimed that during an argument, he told her to “fall down the stairs”. Divello executively produces the show alongside Jason Oppenheim.
Oppenheim also dissed Quinn at the reunion and said that “right now, there’s not a place for [Quinn] at the Oppenheim Group.”
However, he also added that “Now, in the future, if she takes real estate seriously, if I can get an understanding on her perspective on things, if she changes her behavior, if she brings in a big listing, there’s a lot of reasons where I would consider her having a place at the Oppenheim Group.” This shows that all did not end well between the two of them.
In a July interview, Quinn mentioned that she had left the Oppenheim Group to run her new business. She also quipped “Hulu, give me a call” thus showing her willingness to get back in front of the camera. She also dissed the show by saying that she was the only cast member who knew how to “give the world a show”.
Quinn came clean about leaving the Oppenheim Group and said “I had to make a business decision that was for me, so I had to terminate the contract so I could move it over to my brokerage.”
Reason For Not Starring In Selling Sunsets
It is possible that she was removed from the show due to her termination of contract and launching her company. That might be the reason for the animosity between her and the co-producers of the show. Season 6 and 7 of Selling Sunsets are being shot right now and it seems like Quinn will not be a part of either one.
Whether she gets a show of her own or not is not clear yet although Quinn has made it clear that she would be interested.
