Cheer Up, the K-Drama that premiered in October this year, is being loved by the audience for its blend of mystery, romance, and comedy. The show is enjoying huge popularity and was ranked number three on the most buzzworthy drama list in the second week of November.
The previous episode of Cheer Up aired on November 15, and fans were expecting to watch the upcoming episode 12 this week. However, the release of the episode has now been delayed, as per reports in Korean media. Here is when Cheer Up episode 12 will air based on the updated schedule.
Cheer Up Episode 12: Release Date, Time, and How to Watch
Cheer Up episode 12 will release on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 10 pm KST / 5 am PT / 8 am ET / 2 pm CET. The episode will air on SBS Television in South Korea. International viewers can stream the episode on Viu.
Cheer Up episode 12 was initially planned to air on November 21, followed by episode 13 on November 22 and episode 14 on November 28. However, the release was delayed due to the coverage of the FIFA World Cup. Episode 13 will now air on December 5, followed by the subsequent episode on December 6.
The delay in broadcasting is not something new in the world of K-Dramas. Earlier, the release of episodes 9 and 10 of Cheer Up was shifted forward by a week due to a national mourning period for the stampede tragedy in Itaewon, Seoul. Episode 9 was then again moved from November 7 to 8 due to the broadcasting of a Baseball Korea Series game.
How Many Episodes are there in Cheer Up Season 1?
The current season of Cheer Up features 16 episodes in total. The show premiered on SBS on October 3, 2022, and if there are no further delays, the season finale will release on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
Also, there has been no official confirmation on the second season of the show, however, looking at the popularity and ratings of the first season, Cheer Up can be expected to return for season 2.
The show stars Han Ji-hyun as Do Hae-yi, Bae In-hyuk as Park Jung-woo, Kim Hyun-jin as Jin Sun-ho, Jang Gyu-ri as Tae Cho-hee, Lee Eun-saem as Joo Sun-ja and Yang Dong-geun as Bae Young-woong, Lee Jung-jun as Ki Woon-chan and Han Soo-ah as Choi So-yoon.
Cheer Up: The Story So Far
As per the official synopsis of the show, “Do Hae-Yi is a student at Yonhee University. She is a bright and diligent person. Because of her family’s poor financial situation, she places a priority on making money rather than school. One day, Do Hae-Yi suddenly joins cheering squad Theia. She only joins the club for money.”
“The cheering squad has existed for 50 years at Yeonhee University. While participating in the cheering squad, Do Hae-Yi experiences the joy of campus life and meets various people from Theia, including Park Jung-Woo, Jin Sun-Ho, Tae Cho-Hee, Joo Sun-Ja, and Bae Young-Woong.”
“Bae Young-Woong was once a member of Theia and he is an alumnus of Yonhee University. He supports the cheering squad financially and emotionally,” the synopsis reads further.
