Popular boy band member J-Hope has tested positive for coronavirus. His agency BigHit music confirmed the news. J-Hope, who is a rapper in the group, was meant to travel with the rest of the group for their Grammy performance scheduled for April 4. The group or their management have not yet commented whether he will be joining rest of the group for the Grammys performance or not.

There are less than 10 days left for the group’s performance at Grammy. It is not yet known if he will be able to perform at the Grammys. But his agency assures fans that he would be back with the group after his treatment completes.

When Did Did J-Hope get Covid?

The agency stated that Hoseok took a covid test after he complained of having a sore throat. Talking about the situation, the agency said ‘J-Hope presented symptoms of a sore throat and visited a hospital to take a PCR test on Wednesday, March 23, and was diagnosed with COVID-19 today morning. J-Hope has completed three rounds of COVID-19 vaccinations and is currently not presenting any extraordinary symptoms other than a sore throat, and is undergoing treatment at home while under quarantine. J-Hope is planning to take part in activities scheduled to take place next month once his at-home treatment concludes,’

Assuring the fans that all care is provided to J-Hope, the agency also said ‘The company places the artists’ health as our top priority, and we will do everything we can to aid J-hope in his speedy recovery. We will also diligently cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the health care authorities. Thank you.’

Other Members Got Sick And Had Covid

J-Hope is not the first member of the group to get covid. Jimin got covid around the time when he was operated on for appendicitis. Kim was the latest member to get covid. After that, Jin hurt his finger and had to undergo a small surgery.

The group of boys was very excited to perform live after the pandemic. For two years now, they had been doing concerts online. According to sources, they were sick and tired of going online to meet fans virtually. The septet band said that they ‘didn’t know how precious it was to see each other in person and to jump together! I feel like we took a giant step. We’re really home now. It was so meaningful to us.’

Neither J-Hope nor any other members of the group have made any statement regarding the news or their upcoming performance. So the fans don’t know yet whether he will be able to join the band for the Grammys or not.

They might have to perform without Hope or they might even cancel. For now, the fans await any kind of news from the boys and pray for Hope’s quick recovery.
