Bruce Springsteen kicked off his 2023 tour with the E Street Band
For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, the legendary band kicked off their 2023 tour on Wednesday night (February 1) at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. This is the first time the band is touring since the conclusion of The River Tour in the year 2017.
Throughout their 2023 tour, the band will be stopping by many cities across the United States. The group will be on the road through April 14, before traveling to Europe for summer shows and back to North America for more to-be-announced shows this fall.
During their recent show that took place in Tampa, Florida, Bruce performed many smashing hits with the band like Letter To You, House of a Thousands Guitars, No Surrender, Ghosts, Out in the Street, and Don’t Play That Song amongst many others.
In addition to this, they covered a bunch of songs, from The Commodores’ “Nightshift” to Patti Smith’s “Because The Night”. They will wrap up their tour on July 8 at Hyde Park in London, UK.
Bruce Springsteen recently released a new album ‘Only The Strong Survive’
Yeah, you read it right. Apart from the tour, Bruce and the E Street Band recently released their latest record, “Only The Strong Survive,” on November 11, 2022. The 15 songs on their album feature updated spins on well-known soul classics from legendary labels like Motown and Stax.
In a statement issued, Bruce said, “I wanted to make an album where I just sang.” Pitchfork reviewed their album and said, “Bruce brings heaps of feeling to a new set of some of his favorite, largely obscure soul songs, giving them a confident, faithful, and occasionally synthetic sound.”
