Britney Spears has blasted Jamie Lynn and her extended family in another explosive Instagram post. After Britney’s younger sister expressed regret about being her sister, the “Oops…I Did It Again!” star took to social media and penned down a heavy note, narrating how her family was treated to spa days and champagne while the pop singer was restrained from enjoying simple pleasures of life amid lengthy Las Vegas residency.
“Was It Hard Being My Sister?” Asks Britney
Britney Spears dropped bombs on Jamie Lynn after her younger sister lamented over her struggle with self-esteem being Britney Spear’s sister. Britney took to Instagram Friday (Jan. 6) and wrote, “Are we gonna say it was hard being my sister ???? Hmmmmmmmmmmm …. really ???” the 41-year-old singer captioned her Instagram note.
The pop singer, whose 13-year conservatorship was ended by a Judge in LA in November 2021, recalled the horrific instances when her own friends and the entire Spears family was treated to lavish spa days while she wasn’t allowed to enjoy simple pleasure like coffee breaks. Instead, she tirelessly performed in her hectic Las Vegas residency.
The ‘Princess of Pop’ further expressed, “We teach her the MEANING OF MEAN and then throw her away in the end with no self rights !!!! Do you want me to share it on Telly ??? I’d rather spit in their faces and trash them on an Instagram ’cause that’s all my family has ever been to me !!!!”
In her rash post, Britney also revealed that she suffered nerve damage during her conservatorship wherein her parents controlled her financial, medical and personal affairs for more than 13 years. She even posted a screengrab of her nerve damage and wrote, “here are pics of what nerve damage can do … which I have the right side of my body and goes numb every night !!!”
Forced Into Mental Health Facility…
In response to her sister’s statement on the Special Forces episode, Britney concluded about her sister, “It honestly blows my mind the hardships you say you have had with having me as your sister …” She mentioned that she is sorry that Jamie feels that way, but also sarcastically conveyed to her “not poke at her broken foot in a kitchen telling me to go to the doctor because my foot infection might infect your royal children!!!”
Apart from this, she also took shots at her family for making her life miserable during the controversial conservatorship. She wrote, “Not a victim story or crying about it because I was never a big deal … I sat in a chair for 10 hours a day and no rights for 4 months !!!” She wrote this in reference to being forced into a mental health facility against her will in 2019.
She revaeld that her family has hurt her and nothing was done regarding that. She lost 15 years of her life owning her name and was subjected to being an angel. She took another shot at her dad, Jamie Spears, and wrote, “my dad has 5 women on his tour bus drinking that cup of coffee … so cool and smooth it must have been nice owning my name for 15 years …”
If you aren’t aware, Britney’s explosive IG post comes after her younger sister, Jamie Lynn revealed on an episode of “Special Forces” that she struggled with her own identity amid Birtney’s success.
“Growing up, my sister became famous, worldwide famous, when I was very young,” the “Zoey 101” star revealed during the Fox reality show’s premiere Wednesday. “I’m so proud of her, love her to death, but I don’t know. Sometimes I feel like I don’t really have anything for myself,” she added.
However, she also confessed that while she was extremely proud of Britney’s success, she also yearned to have her “own identity” and “be seen as [her] own person” rather than living in her sister’s shadow. “I struggle with self-esteem all the time,” Jamie expressed on the show.
Overall, Britney’s relationship with her younger sister is as sour as her relationship with her dad, Jamie Spears. Britney previously called out her sister for failing to help her break free from the brutal conservatorship amid her father’s toxic behaviour. Well, this ain’t the first time Britney has fired shots at her family.
In October 2022, the “Princess of Pop” revealed that she was treated like a dog by her father Jamie during the 13-year conservatorship. In the then-Instagram post, Britney posted screenshots from her notes app wherein several allegations were made against her father.
At one place, the “Toxic” singer wrote, “Why did you and the family go along with it and treat me like a f–king dog ???” “WHAT MAKES YOU SO GODDAMN SPECIAL ??? WHAT MAKES YOUR OTHER DAUGHTERS SO GODDAMN SPECIAL THAT YOU TREATED ME LESS THAN A F–KING DOG???
She further revealed how her parents made her feel the ugliest and controlled her life during her conservatorship. Britney expressed that she felt absolutely nothing, and she was mostly sad, had no say in photoshoots, and always had to follow numerous guidelines. “I will say it until the day I f–king die … my family ruined my f–king life !!!,” she continued.
The mother of two also raged at Jamie, and wrote, “Come on father, wanna sit your granddaughters, Maddie and Ivy in a chair 10 hours a day having people **** with their head…for four months. Big security at my door…no ma’am you cannot leave…”. Britney expressed how she was restrained and made to feel ugly. Apart from this, she alleged that her father even body-shamed her.
She mentioned, “he was never a father to me because he was always drunk.” He even compared her with her then-boyfriend. She alleged that Jamie told her that one of her boyfriends had a “perfect” body and that she “need to work on me because I wasn’t fit.” In her notes, the singer added that she prays “to f–king god that her father feels the same pain for just 5 minutes. At one point, she wrote, “I pray to god that you burn in hell you sorry son of a bitch !!!”
Since her conservatorship ended, Britney has used social media to express her traumatic experiences regarding her 13-year conservatorship.
