Blue Lock is returning to air its second part of the first season on January 7 of 2023. The anime has released the first part of season 1 with 12 episodes. With the release of the confirmed dates, the anime also shared the new visual of “Blue Lock” Cour 2.

How did Episode 12 End?
Blue Lock episode 12 covered the second selection of the Blue Lock Project. Yoichi Isagi became the first player among Team Z members to make it into the next round of football. Every player was tasked with scoring 100 goals within 90 minutes against a hologram goalkeeper. But all the players will not survive this round.
At the end of the episode, Ego reveals the rules of the 3v3 match rules. As per the rules, the winning team can pick any player from the loser team. But every team’s objective is to obtain a team of five to survive. So far, only 4 of Team Z members have passed the round.
On the other hand, if a team loses all its players, the final and the only member of the team will get disqualified. Meanwhile, if some team eventually loses all of its players, the final member of the team would get disqualified.
This episode also showed how Isagi is becoming more egoist as he and Bachira joined hands with Nagi to form a three-man team. The episode ends with a massive cliffhanger. As Isagi aims to steal the Blue Lock project’s best striker Rin. But they will also have to battle against the Blue Lock’s best 3 strikers.

Blue Lock Anime Plot
The official synopsis of the anime suggests “High school soccer players from across Japan gather for a controversial project designed to create the best — and most egoistic — striker in the world”.
The anime is adapted from Muneyuki Kaneshiro’s shonen sports manga, Blue Lock. The show focuses on Isagi Yoichi as the protagonist of the story with his dream of becoming the world’s best striker.
The story just begins with Japan’s elimination from the 2018 FIFA World Cup against Belgium. Following that incident, the Japanese Football Union begins a new footballing project with the sole purpose of scouting high schoolers and refining them to be the best striker. With that team, they will win the World Cup for the first time.
During the World Cup 2022 in Qatar, internet searches on Blue Lock skyrocketed. Japan did well in the group stages of the tournament by defeating mega-footballing nations like Germany and Spain against all odds. The manga does the same as well. Every fictional character’s kick in the field has twists and turns.
