Big Thief has kicked off their 2023 world tour
Yeah, you read it right. The indie rock band with folk roots based in Brooklyn, New York launched their 2023 world tour on January 31, Tuesday night in Vermont with a 90-minute set.
Throughout their 2023 world tour, Big Thief will be making pit stops in cities such as Burlington, New Haven, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Oxford, Tulsa, Austin, Houston, New Orleans, Birmingham, Orlando, Miami Beach, Atlanta, and New York amongst many others.
The band will be performing in the United States until March 2. The March 2 show will take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Then, the tour will move to Europe before returning to North America in July.
Big Thief recently added North American Tour dates
In January 2023, the rock band announced the new dates added to their 2023 world tour. Nick Hakim and Lucinda Williams will also join Big Thief for a couple of the shows. The news shows will take place in July and August.
On January 23, the band took to their official social media handles, to announce that they have added some new dates to their 2023 world tour. “We’re excited to announce new shows this summer, including shows with Nick Hakim and Lucinda Williams. What a dream come true,” they wrote in the caption of the post.

August 4 – Portland, OR @ McMenamins Edgefield Amphitheater ^

Big Thief are inviting students and teachers to soundchecks
Last month, the rock band announced a very cool initiative that would allow teachers and students to attend their soundchecks “to bring an educational component to the touring process.”
At that time, the band said, “Our hope is that students would be able to come see the soundcheck and ask questions and share in a discussion about creativity, music, playing shows, songwriting, or whatever!”
