Beyoncé is finally heading on a world tour! After years of wait, Queen Bey has finally confirmed her next tour, the Renaissance world tour, set to take place in 2023. The tour will be in support of her seventh studio album, Renaissance.
The exciting news was confirmed at the Where Art Can Occur Theater’s fifth annual Wearable Art Gala on October 22. The first tickets for the tour were auctioned at the event. Here is everything we know about Beyoncé’s highly anticipated world tour.
Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour Announced at WACO Event
The announcement was made during the WACO event in Santa Monica, California, which is organized by Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, and her husband, actor Richard Lawson.
A concert package was auctioned at the event, which took place after a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic and was attended by Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and their daughter Blue Ivy, among other celebrities. The package was initially valued at $20,000.
Some videos from the event are now circulating on social media, one of which shows a slide with the message: United x WACO offers you a chance to see Beyoncé on her ‘Renaissance Tour’ starting in the summer of 2023 at any of United’s national and international destinations around the world.
The package apparently included “2 First Class International United Airline Polaris tickets to select cities, with 3-Night hotel accommodations at a Marriott Property, 2 concert tickets to Beyoncé’s 2023 tour, and a guided backstage tour with Knowles-Lawson.”
The Concert Package was Reportedly Sold for $150,000
A video from the event also shows the bidding activity, with the price of the package going as high as $50,000. A fan who attended the event revealed on Twitter that the concert package was eventually auctioned for a whopping $150,000 after an intense bidding war.

While some fans are now excited to see Beyoncé back on stage, others are worried about the possible exorbitant prices they will have to pay to get their hands on the tickets. “When beyoncé go on tour, I’m getting them front row tickets even if I have to sell a kidney idgaf,” wrote a fan.
Another tweeted, “them renaissance tickets can’t come fast enough i never wanted to give Beyoncé money so bad,” while a third one wrote, “I just know them damn tickets to #Beyoncé renaissance tour gon be expensive sick to my stomach already.”
Beyoncé Released her Album Renaissance in July
Six years after the release of her sixth album, Lemonade, Beyoncé finally announced her seventh studio album Renaissance in June and dropped the album the following month. All 16 tracks from the album have already made it to the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making Queen Bey the sixth female artist in history to achieve the feat.
Renaissance received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, making Beyoncé the first female artist to have her first seven albums debut at number one in the US.
While the tour confirmation is indeed great news, we will still have to wait for the announcement of the venues and tour dates. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
