Soul Train Awards happen every year around this time. The BET Soul Train Awards 2022 also featured some of the best performances of this year. The two most stunning artists on the globe, Beyonce and Mary J. Blige were leading this year’s nominees with a count of seven respectively.
All About the Bet Soul Train Awards 2022
BET Soul Train Awards was spectacular after it hit the screen Saturday, November 26. The show was held at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
The whole award show was aired on BET and was hosted by comedian, writer, and Black-ish star Deon Cole. As the show had full of memorable events, it was a stunning night for Beyonce.
Beyonce Winning the Most Awards on the Show
Beyonce grabbed the album of the year for the fourth time with Renaissance. The American artist secured the Song of the Year for the third time with her song “Break My Soul” as well.
It did not stop there as she won the Best Collaboration with Ronald Isley & the Isley Brothers as well for “Make Me Say It Again, Girl”. These three made Beyonce walk away with the most-awarded celebrity in the show.
Notable Winners other than Beyonce in Brief
Chris Brown and Jazmine Sullivan were named the Best R&B/Soul Male and Female Artist on the show respectively. Tems received this year’s Best New Artist award. Whereas Mary J. Blige received the honor of the Certified Soul Award,
Dance is an integral part of music. And this year’s award for Best Dance Performance went to Lizzo for “About Damn Time.”
Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak. of Silk Sonic returned home with the Video of the Year award from the show for their “Smokin Out The Window” song.
Muni Long grabbed THE ASHFORD AND SIMPSON SONGWRITER’S AWARD for her song “Hrs & Hrs”.
