Barbie is one of the most-awaited films of the year. The Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling starrer is the first live-action adaptation of the globally popular Mattel toy, and fans are excited to watch the fantasy land of the dolls come to life.
Apart from its look and feel, Barbie has also generated curiosity among fans due to its music. The film is set to feature a number of tracks by some of the biggest names in the industry, and the lineup and track list have finally been unveiled by the makers.
Barbie Movie Soundtrack
On May 25th, the lineup of artists being featured on the Barbie soundtrack was announced, which includes Dua Lipa, Ava Max, Charli XCX, Dominic Fike, Fifty Fifty, Gayle, Haim, Ice Spice, Kali, Karol G, Khalid, Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, PinkPantheress, Tame Impala, and The Kid Laroi.
Additionally, Ryan Rosling has also lent his voice to a track. Also, there is going to be a new version of Barbie Girl, the hugely popular 1997 song by Aqua, titled Barbie World. The soundtrack features 17 songs, which are as below:

The soundtrack will be released along with the film on July 21st. Till then, fans can pre-order special vinyl and cassette editions of the album on barbiethealbum.com. There are CDs available as well in different colors and variations.
‘Dance the Night’ by Dua Lipa has been Released as the Lead Single
The first single from the album, Dance the Night by Dua Lipa was released along with a music video on May 26th. Lipa, who also stars in the film as Mermaid Barbie, appears in the quirky and playful video.
“Baby you can find me under the lights / Diamonds under my eyes,” she sings in the initial lines. Margot Robbie and Issa Rae are also seen, and there is also a cameo by director Greta Gerwig. Gosling, however, remained absent from the music video.
Barbie Soundtrack Composers
The soundtrack, along with the score, has been curated by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt. Ronson is an acclaimed composer and DJ, who has won several accolades in his career, including seven Grammys, an Academy Award, and a Golden Globe Award.
He is known for his collaborations with Adele, Lily Allen, Duran Duran, Robbie Williams, Miley Cyrus, Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, Queens of the Stone Age, and Bruno Mars. Wyatt is also a renowned musician and is a winner of two Grammys, a Golden Globe, an Academy Award, and a Critic’s Choice Award.
