The UK’s biggest film and television awards have unveiled their full list of nominees, with incredible films in the running for the top gong.
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts announced the shortlist for its arts awards at a ceremony held in London at St David’s Hall on Sunday 9 October.
The ceremony will see some of Hollywood’s biggest names recognized with the BAFTA Cymru Awards. Check out this article to grab the full list.
2022 BAFTA Nominations Announced with Some Tremendous Films Paving Way
This year’s BAFTA Cymru Awards will be back in-person in Cardiff for the first time in two years, with 21 categories spanning craft, performance and production.
Alex Jones returns to host the special ceremony at St David’s Hall on Sunday 9 October, and will be joined by a host of stars to announce the winners on the night.
The ceremony will also be available to watch on BAFTA’s YouTube channel on the premiere night.
Alex Jones returning to host the big ceremony expressed what a privilege it has been for her to come back to the stage for the ceremony to celebrate the incredible films.
She added that doing the hosting in person this time adds a certain charm to it.
One of the highlighting nominations from the announcement stands for the Australian film Dream Horse with five nominations running to the the top.
The real-life story of a racehorse from Cefn Fforest whose victory in the 2009 Welsh Grand National inspired the movie One Day, which has been nominated for five Bafta Cymru awards.
The film has been nominated in the Best Actor; Feature Television/Film; Makeup and Hair; Photography and Lighting: Fiction; and Sound categories.
