James Wan, the director of Aquaman 2, has revealed that production on the DC sequel has begun. Finally, the film you’ve been waiting for has arrived. The title of James Wan’s next DC sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, has been announced. Yes, Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom is the title of the upcoming movie. James Wan announced the name of the movie through his Instagram post on 11th June, 2021 with a caption “Tide Is Rising.” Here’s the post :

Wan announced the filming through Instagram on 28th June, 2021, and you can see the post here. “Day One #Aquaman2” was the caption on the post.
Well, James Wan’s movie Aquaman 2 (also known as Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom) will be released on December 16, 2022. Jason Momoa, who plays Aquaman, has announced that he will be shooting the sequel in Hawaii by July.
Arrival Of Amber Heard Back To The Movie
Another exciting piece of news is that Amber Heard will reprise her role in Aquaman 2, which will be directed by James Wan. Amber Heard’s arrival has been confirmed thanks to her Instagram post. She tweeted a photo of a gorgeous welcome card announcing her arrival to the movie on June 19, 2021 which was sent by the crew. The flowers were accompanied by a handwritten card that said, “Amber – Welcome back to Atlantis. Love James & Rob.” Princess Mera will be played by Amber Heard. Screenwriter David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick said that the movie would not concentrate on “any one particular comic book story“, In March 2020.
“We’re not taking any one particular comic book story and adapting it, but if you want to know the vibe we’re going for, pick up pretty much any Silver Age story featuring Black Manta.” He shared this during a fan Question & Answer on Twitter.
