Horror film king M. Night Shyamalan is teaming up with British television writer Tony Basgallop to create a new series for Apple.

That’s right, folks! Apple is not just creating over-priced electronics but they’ve also phased into developing original shows.

The project is a 10-episode psychological thriller ordered straight-to-series by Apple. The half-hour show is yet to be titled and it is created, written and executively produced by Basgallop. His list of works includes “24: Live Another Day,” “East Enders,” and “To The Ends of the Earth.”

Shyamalan is also executive producing the show as well as directing the episodes. This marks his second series project after being the executive producer of the short-lived Fox series, “Wayward Pines,” which starred Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur. The talented filmmaker is currently working on the film “Glass,” the sequel to his 2016 psychological thriller, “Split.”

Though we know the talents behind the camera, Apple is staying tight-lipped about the show’s plot and lead cast. This untitled project is just one of many Apple is working on as they grow their resume of original shows. Shyamalan joins some big names on Apple  including a morning show drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, a reboot of Steven Spielberg’s “Amazing Stories,” and a space race drama from Ron More. The award-winning director of “La La Land,” Damian Chazelle is working on a new dama for Apple.

Kumail Nanjiana, wife Emily V. Gordon, and Lee Eisenberg are also working on an immigrant-focused anthology series for Apple titled “Little America.” Look’s like we have a lot to look forward to from Apple!
