The 59-year-old billionaire and the broadcast journalist sparked romance rumors just a couple of hours after Jeff and his ex-wife Scott announced they were parting ways and getting divorced. In 2019, the National Enquirer reported that Jeff and Lauren had been dating for 8 months.
At that time, it was reported by the media outlet that Whitesell and MacKenzie were aware of their romance. Lauren and Jeff met each other for the first time through her ex-husband Patrick Whitesell, the executive chairman of Endeavor Group Holdings, which is the parent company of Hollywood talent agency WME.
