Allison Williams’s Parents Support Her Bold Role In ‘Girls’, Fast-Forwarded The ‘Sex Scenes’

“Girls” star Allison Williams appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and indulged in a candid conversation with the host. The American actress revealed how her parents have been supportive towards her bold role in the series. However, she’d ask them to fast-forward the “sex scenes” on Girls. She also spoke about how her family acts like a support system for each other as they are in the same business.

Allison’s Parents Take On “Girls”

When asked by Kelly Clarkson about how supportive her parents have been, Allison Williams, best known for playing Marnie Michaels on HBO’s “Girls”, spoke at length about her understanding of parents. Kelly asked, “Do they watch everything you do?” Allison revealed that they watch everything she does, and they have been very supportive.

She revealed that when she was working on “Girls”, she used to get this question a lot. “It made people extremely weird,” but then her parents have been extremely supportive of her role in HBO’s hit series that ran between 2012-2017.

She continued, “They understand me but “Girls” was like, um…we have it down to kind of science on “Girls”, by the time we finished, I’d be like I got these episodes for the season and there will be six sex scenes.” She’d do that so her parents could dose out their adrenaline and fast-forward to those scenes.

 

Allison Took Fam To “M3gan” Premiere…

She revealed that she feels so lucky that her parents have supported her throughout this professional journey. Quoting another example, she said, “We have a healthy family and my whole family went to the “M3gan” premiere, for example, a couple of weeks ago and all six of us, are kind of in  various versions of this business from one angle or another.”

If you aren’t updated, Allisson stars in the science fiction horror “M3gan” (Megan). When the first trailer dropped online in October, people lost their minds. The promo spread like a wildfire and racked up over 22 million views on the official Universal Pictures YouTube channel itself. Well, the lifelike doll is certainly your worst nightmare. The movie was released on Jan. 6, 2023, in the United States.

Allison revealed that it’s a joke in their house that “if you need a makeup wipe, all of us have a solution, my brother’s on TV, my mom’s on TV, my dad’s on TV”. She revealed that her mother is a producer while her sister-in-law is also in the business. Moreover, her partner, Alexander Dreymon is an actor.

“If you need a makeup wipe suggestion, there are five other people in our house for it,” she added. She revealed that because everyone is in the same business, they understand each other and are like a support system for each other. If you aren’t aware, Allison is the daughter of former NBC Nightly News anchor and managing editor Brian Williams, and her mother, Jane is a TV producer.

As for her partner, Alexander Dreymon, the German actor known for portraying Uhtred of Bebbanburg in the television series The Last Kingdom. He is also known for his roles in series, such as “American Horror Story: Coven” and “Christopher and His Kind”. He also appeared in the WWII movie, “Resistance”. Well, when you’ve got your whole family in the same business, life gets a lot easier.
