‘All Elite Wrestling’ Star Jeff Hardy Arrested Once Again, Booked in Volusia County for Felony DUI

American professional wrestler Jeffrey Nero Hardy, professionally known as Jeff Hardy has been arrested again. Jail records revealed that the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star was booked in Volusia County, Florida on Monday morning (June 13). Read on to learn more about the charges against him.

Jeffrey Nero Hardy aka Jeff Hardy, widely known for his time in WWE and TNA, was arrested on Monday morning and was booked in Volusia County, Florida. Even though details surrounding the specific allegation against him are unclear, court records depict that the 44-year-old wrestler is once again charged with felony DUI.

This time Jeff Hardy is booked for the misdemeanour ‘violating restrictions placed on driver’s license’, as well as the misdemeanour ‘driving while license cancelled’, ‘suspended or revoked. Court records also suggest that he is due in court today for a hearing on the said matter.

This is the third time since 2018 that Jeff Hardy has been accused of driving while under the influence. He was charged twice previously with DWI in North Carolina and South Carolina after getting into a car wreck. Hardy has faced other charges too in the past.

Hardy’s a Habitual Offender

Despite his successful career as a wrestler, Hardy is known for his encounters with authorities now and then. Jeff, who is also known for his passion for motocross, was previously arrested on July 13, 2019, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for public intoxication. Not only this, in the same year in October, he was arrested and charged with driving while impaired in Moore County, North Carolina.

Previously in 2009, Hardy was booked on charges of trafficking in controlled prescription pills and possession of anabolic steroids. After a thorough search, authorities found 180 Soma prescription pills, 555 millilitres of anabolic steroids, 262 Vicodin prescription pills, a residual amount of powder cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

On September 8, 2011, Hardy was sentenced to ten days in jail, 30 months of probation and was slammed with a fine of $100,000 for the aforementioned charges. As for now, it appears that he may be jailed once again considering his infamous record.

Jeff Hardy is known for having great success in his singles career. He captured his first of six world championships, the WWE Championship in 2008 and held WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship twice. Not only this, Hary won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship three times.

If we talk about his wins within WWF/WWE, he has also won the Intercontinental Championship five times, the Hardcore Championship three times and the European, Light Heavyweight and the United States Championship. He was also named the “Most Popular Wrestler of the Year by Pro Wrestling Illustrated twice.

Jeff Hardy, along with his brother Matt Hardy, is referred to as the tag team “Hardy Boyz” and is widely regarded as one of the greatest tag teams in professional wrestling history.
