Alchemy of Souls is finally returning with its second part after months of wait. The show, which went on to become one of the most-watched K-Dramas of the year, follows the story of young magicians dealing with heaven and earth.
The first part of the show aired from June 18 to August 28, 2022, and featured 20 episodes. Fans are now wondering how many episodes there are in part 2 and when each episode will be released. Read on to find out.
Alchemy of Souls Part 2 Episode Release Schedule
Alchemy of Souls Part 2 premiered on December 10, 2022. The second part will feature 10 episodes that will go on till January 8, 2023. New episodes will be aired twice a week, every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 pm KST / 7:10 am ET on tvN.

Alchemy of Souls Part 2 Storyline
The second part has been titled Light and Shadow. The new season will see a time leap of three years after the events of the first season finale, in which Jang Uk gained the ice stone. The new part will feature him having no mercy as he hunts soul shifters. Uk feels like his existence is a sin and regrets living.
Jang Uk soon runs across Naksu in a different shape, but the two have trouble recognizing one another. Meanwhile, Jin Mu is aware that Naksu will return, and he plans to use the strength of the most powerful soul shifter to agitate Jang Uk.
The conflict between Jang Uk and the crowned prince intensifies as Jin Mu plans a major plot. Additionally, Jang Uk learns that removing the ice stone from his body will kill him.
The official synopsis of the new season reads, “Jang Uk returns from death, and three years later, the story of the mages unfolds anew. Jang Uk becomes a hunter of the soul-shifters when a young woman, a prisoner in her own home, seeks his help to reclaim her freedom.”

The show stars Lee Jae-wook as Jang Uk, Jung So-min as Mu-deok, Go Yoon-jung as Nak-su, Hwang Min-hyun as Seo Yul, Oh Na-ra as Maidservant Kim, Joo Sang-wook as Jang Gang, Bae Gang-hee as Do-hwa, Jang Tae-min as Servant Lee, Do Sang-woo as Seo Yoon-oh, Yoo Jun-sang as Park Jin, Yoo In-soo as Park Dang-gu and Lee Ha-yool as Sang-ho.
The rest of the cast includes Lee Do-kyung as Heo Yeom, Hong Seo-hee as Heo Yun-ok, Jung Ji-an as Soon-yi, Kim Yong-jin as Physician Seo, Cha Yong-hak as Yeom-su, Lee Bong-jun as Gu Hyo, Joo Min-soo as Han Yeol and Choi Kwang-il as Go Soon.
