After the long delays and pushbacks, Adele’s Las Vegas Residency finally started last night, which was November 18th. On the opening night of the show, she told her fans “Thank you for coming back to me.”
The singer has finally kicked off her 32-date “Weekends With Adele” at the Colosseum at the Ceasers Palace on Friday night. The original shows were set to begin in January but they got pushed back. Now, almost 10 months of wait later, the shows have finally kicked off and fans are excited!
The Show Was “Perfect”
The 13-time Grammy winner opened up the night with her most famous song called Hello. Then, as she went on to play other songs from her career, she paused and said “It looks just like I imagined it would. It’s just perfect, thank you.”
A little bit into the performance, Adele joked “I don’t get to go off stage for about 50 minutes so I’m going to have [a] shitty face of streaked makeup for the whole first part of the show.”
Massive Week For Adele
The last tour that Adele did was in 2017. She had to cancel a few dates of the tour as she had damaged her vocal cords. Performing at the Las Vegas Residency is a big feat for a lot of stars, and it was the same for Adele.
She said that “I’m so nervous and I’m so scared and I’m so happy. It might be a bit wobbly at times because my nerves are out of control.”
As fans cheered her on, she said, “It’s a bloody massive week for me this week. It’s the Walking Dead finale on Sunday!” A massive fan of The Walking Dead, Adele was worried about the finale of the show!
An excited Adele added how there was too much going on, “It’s opening night, it’s the Walking Dead, it’s the Grammys and it’s the World Cup, fucking hell, there’s a lot going on,” she said.

Before the shows started, Adele shared a message stating that she was “incredibly nervous” about the shows. She was nostalgic about how she used to watch Tom and Jerry as a kid and wondered “Blimey how did he get from Wales to Las Vegas!?”
Adele also reassured her fans that being scared and nervous was a good thing as it meant that she cared about the show. Just last week, Adele got nominated for over 7 Grammys. So far, she has won all the nominations since 2012. She will be performing at the Colosseum till March 25th.
