Adele is looking to add a college degree to her glittering resume to improve her already impressive one.
After she wraps up her much anticipated and postponed residency at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, it has been revealed that she has set her sights on post-graduate education.
Adele plans to study English Literature
Adele has revealed that after she has finished her long-awaited residency in Las Vegas, she intends to get a degree in English Literature from Birmingham University. She said that she would soon be studying for a degree during a recent Q&A she conducted in Los Angeles covered by The Sun.
It has been reported that she said the following: “After Vegas, I want to get a degree in English Literature. I probably would have become a teacher if I hadn’t made it to singing. I think I’d be an English Lit teacher.”
It was further emphasized in Adele’s statement that she felt “I feel like I use my passion for English literature in what I do. But even though it’s not like I’d move on to get a job with my degree, I wish I had gone to university. I wish I’d had that experience.”
Sadly, fans looking forward to sitting beside Adele in a Shakespeare lecture are out of luck if they thought they might be able to do so. However, as she will not attend university shortly, she elaborates on the point further.
Depending on her needs, the study will either be done online, or a tutor will assist her. Adele is preparing to study for 2025, and she only intends to learn to gain the qualifications for the job she wants.
As Of November 18, The Vocalist Will Begin Her Residency At The Venue
Eight more shows will be added to the 24 rescheduled performances scheduled for November 18 as part of the vocalist’s residency. It was just a day before the show was supposed to premiere when Adele announced that she would no longer be running it. Instead, she thanked her fans for supporting her.
“Words can’t explain how ecstatic I am to be able to announce these rescheduled shows finally. I truly was heartbroken to cancel them,” her statement reads. “But after an eternity of figuring out logistics for the show that I want to deliver and knowing it can happen, I’m more excited than ever!”
2023 Is The End Of Adele’s Residency
Adele will reside at the Royal Albert Hall from March 25, 2023, until March 25, 2024. Tickets for the 32 performances of the play are only available in a limited number. Those who have purchased tickets for the original show dates or been on the waitlist will have priority.
This year’s shows were initially scheduled to start on Friday, January 21, and run through the middle of April. However, the performances were canceled earlier this year after the COVID-19 show was delayed.
Adele’s goal is to obtain more qualifications. Do you agree with Adele’s decision to continue her studies? We’d love to hear your thoughts.
