Here’s everything you need to know about the Academy of Country Music Awards 2023

For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, the Academy of Country Music Awards which are popularly known as ACM Awards were held for the first time in the year 1966.

This year, Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks will host the annual awards show. The star-studded line of the 58th edition of the awards show will include heavyweights like Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, and Chris Stapleton. The award show will air live on Amazon’s Prime Video on May 11 from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

In a statement issued, Academy said, “The 2023 Studio Recording Awards and Industry Awards will be presented to recipients at the 16th Academy of Country Music Honors, a special event held annually in August at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. This year’s show will be held August 23, with more details to be announced in the coming months.”

Who is leading the list of ACM nominees this year?

Hardy and Lainey Wilson are the two musicians who are leading the list of AMC nominees this year. When we talk about Hardy, he has bagged a total of seven nods in his kitty. On the other hand, Lainey Wilson has earned six nominations.

Both Lainey and Hardy share a nomination in a total of 3 categories including song of the year, visual media of the year, and event of the year. In addition to this, Hardy also picked dual nods in a few other categories for “Wait in the Truck” as a co-writer and co-producer.

The two musicians are closely followed by Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, Kane Brown, and Cole Swindell with five nominations each. Lambert who secured the coveted Triple Crown Award last year has been nominated for female artist of the year for a record-breaking 17th time.

The award for entertainer of the year is for the music artists who have been on the scene for many years. This year, the nominees for Academy of Country Music Award for entertainer of the year are as follows: Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and Morgan Wallen. This is the very first time that Morgan and Brown are up for the top honor.

The only artist who was nominated for the award last year but didn’t get a nod for entertainer of the year in 2023 is Eric Church. This is Jason Aldean’s first nod for entertainer of the year in the last 4 years.
