The Boys Season 3 has some exciting news for viewers. The show follows the titular vigilante squad as they battle superpowered individuals who misuse their talents. ‘The Boys’ has grown a lot in the last few years, from spin-off shows to Emmy nominations.
Viewers are quite thrilled about Season 3 now that it is on the horizon. However, there are a few things that the ‘The Boys’ team has mentioned about the forthcoming season and how spectacular it will be.
The Season 2 finale revealed a lot of information to the audience. So, waiting for Season 3 is pretty obvious.
The Boys Season 3 Will Contain ‘A Lot Of Madness’
Now, the show’s showrunner, Kripke, has spoken to TV Guide about the impending season 3 and highlighted the “madness” that viewers can anticipate.
“There’s definitely a lot of madness. It’s not a secret that we’re doing an episode about ‘Herogasm’ from the comics, which is a massive superhero orgy. And we’re doing something in the first episode that I think is definitely the craziest thing we’ve ever pulled off… and might be one of the craziest things anybody’s ever tried to pull off.”
‘Craziest Thing Anyone’s Ever Done’
The cast and crew of ‘The Boys’ have also hinted something regarding the episodes of season 3. They revealed that the most recent batch of episodes will be especially crazy.
“Without giving away any spoilers, I was just in editing yesterday, and we’re doing something here in the season 3 premiere that is not only I think the craziest thing we’ve ever done, it’s got to be up there with the craziest thing anyone’s ever done,” Kripke said in an interview earlier this year.
“Maybe it won’t work. Who knows? But I’m just so high on this gag that we’re pulling off. And it’s certainly something nobody has ever seen before, probably for good reason. So all that’s really exciting.”
“Oh, my God, [Season 3] is hands down one of the most enjoyable seasons of TV I’ve had the good fortune of being involved with!” Antony Starr, the Homelander actor, recently revealed to a source.
“I had a great time on Season 2, and I thought we did something really cool there where we took it next-level in many ways from Season 1, and really, it’s just the extension of that.”
Season 3 of ‘The Boys’ Will Delve Into The History Of Vought International
Season 3 will, according to showrunner Eric Kripke, delve into the background of Vought International and what that multibillion-dollar organization was up to over several crucial decades.
“I mean all of them! I mean I think they all get amazing things to do. Well, I mean season 3’s fun because it’s not just about Soldier Boy, but it’s about the team he was a part of which is called Payback.”
Adding, “And Laurie Holden plays Crimson Countess and there’s a bunch of other heroes who are amazing. So, sort of seeing who was the Seven before the Seven. And what was life like for Vought? In the history of Vought what was it like in the 60s and 70s and 80s? To dig into the history of the world, not just the present has been a lot of fun.”
Kripke Stated The ‘Herogasm’ Episode Is Something That ‘People Are Not Ready To Watch It’
According to Kripke, Herogasm is “the craziest dailies he has ever seen,” and “people are not ready to watch it.” However, the scene in which Soldier Boy is portrayed as a superhero who has yearly romance with Homelander in attempt to acquire participation in The Seven will not be used.
And instead Soldier Boy will be presented as the “Homelander before Homelander,” a World War II superhero pulled out of retirement. Kripke also indicated that rather than depicting Soldier Boy as naive as he is in the books, he will be far worse than Homelander.
Season 3’s release date has yet to be confirmed. But you can watch the previous seasons on Amazon Prime.
We will keep readers updated as soon as an official announcement regarding the release date is made. All we know for now is that this season is going to be crazy.
