How Many Seasons will be there in 1923?
1923 has been announced as a two-season series. The show was initially planned to be a mini-series, much like 1883; however, in October 2022, Paramount announced that there will be two seasons featuring eight episodes each.
Additionally, the makers are also planning to create two more spin-offs of Yellowstone, which will follow the story of the Dutton family through the 1940s and 1960s. Another spin-off, 6666, is expected to be released in 2023.
What to Expect from 1923?
The show will follow the lives of Jacob and Cara Dutton as they try to survive in Montana while the state faces the challenges of Prohibition and the Great Depression. The official synopsis of the show reads, “Cara is well-balanced, is fundamentally peaceful, and what brings her to this point of extremity?”
“To live and work in that sort of environment, dealing with the climate, dealing with the violence of nature itself is one thing they will have to deal with. Then of course this extraordinary moment in history, the 1920s, it was so revolutionary, there were so many things changing.”
“Society was changing, the coming of votes for women, the coming of the Second World War, the coming of the whole different way wars were fought,” it reads further. 1923 stars Harrison Ford as Jacob Dutton, Helen Mirren as Cara Dutton, Darren Mann as Jack Dutton, Brandon Sklenar as Spencer Dutton and James Badge Dale as John Dutton Sr.
The rest of the cast includes Marley Shelton as Emma Dutton, Jerome Flynn as Banner Creighton, Aminah Nieves as Teonna Rainwater, Timothy Dalton as Donald Whitfield, Jacques Schembri as Jimmy Cricket and Robert Patrick as Sheriff William McDowell, Jennifer Ehle as Sister Mary, Julia Schlaepfer as Alexandra, and Amelia Rico as Issaxche.
