Amy Slaton and her husband Michael Halterman are heading in the direction of divorce! As per the court documents, Michael filed for divorce from the 1000-Lb. Sisters star on March 13 in Kentucky.

Amy and her husband Michael Halterman have decided to go their separate ways after 4 years of marriage. The two of them dated for many years before eloping in the year 2017. Nearly two years later, they walked down the aisle. Their wedding was also documented on the TLC show which revolves around the weight loss journeys of Amy Slaton and her sister Tammy Slaton.
During the series premiere, Slaton said, “My husband Michael, he means the world to me. Me and Michael are newlyweds but we’ve been together four years now. I can tell him anything and everything. And Michael’s really supportive of me helping Tammy.”

The news of the pair’s divorce comes less than a year after they welcomed their second child together, a baby boy. The former couple who originally met in high school named their son Glenn Allen Halterman. Slaton gave birth to her and Halterman’s son Glenn on July 5 via c-section. At the time of his birth, Glenn weighed 5 lbs. 11 oz. and measured 17.5 inches.
Then, Amy told People magazine, “The wait is finally over … Michael and I are happy to announce the birth of our son, Glenn Allen Halterman. The delivery was a huge success and now I have both of my miracle boys; our family is complete!”
In the latest episode of the show 1000-Lb. Sisters, Amy raved over her baby boy and how he looks like both her and Halterman. She said, “My heart is full. Being a mom is what I’ve wanted to do since I was 5 years old and I’ve always wanted two kids. Our family is finally complete. We can put us in a frame and hang us on the wall now.”
In addition to this, Slaton and Halterman are also proud parents of their son Gage Deon Halterman, whom they welcomed in November 2020. As of this moment, their son Gage is 2 years old.
Before her split from Halterman, Amy stated that the couple was not planning to have any more kids. In February 2023, she told Us Weekly, “I do not want more kids, my family is complete! As a busy mom, I just take care of them, when they sleep that’s when I get a bath or do other things for myself.”
