The ad has a young teenager who unlocks her iPhone and continues to unlock things around her from lockers to closets in an explosion of books, paper, and colored smoke. The unlocking feature and theme is focused on in promotion of iPhoneX’s new face detection technology.
All the unlocking is done explosively to the beat of R.D. Burman’s song. Check out the iPhone ad here:
“Meri Nazar Hai Tujh Pe” is from the 1980 film, “The Burning Man.” Before you lose your mind over legal rights, let me inform you, music producer Pete Cannon acquired the rights to the original composition by R.D. Burman via Blurred Recs courtesy of Saregama. He actually sampled the song for one of his own tracks, “Bang Bang” and it is Cannon’s remake that is used for the ad.
Hi Guys, I just want to address the sample used in the new Apple iPhoneX advert. It samples a track from the great R D Burman’s ‘Burning Train’ and it’s a MAGICAL piece of music! It was cleared/licensed via Blurred Recs courtesy of Saregama. Everyone is on board and loves it. 😉

Here’s a throwback to the song and video:
Stunner Hema Malini and Parveen Babi were in the original. How awesome is it to see a song made popular by Babi and Malini in the 80’s now reach worldwide audiences in 2018!
