Actress Mouzam Makkar has bagged another role on a major television network. After taking on a supporting role in Mindy Kaling’s latest project, “Champions” on NBC, the lovely actress has been cast as a regular for ABC’s pilot for “The Fix.”

The new show is a legal thriller and drama from ABC studios and O.J. Simpson prosecutor, Marcia Clark. It’s written by Clark as well along with Elizabeth Craft and Sara Fain. The plot follows the career of prosecutor Maya Travis after she loses a huge case leading the media to tear her apart. Maya leaves the busy city of Los Angeles for quiet Oregan but 8 years later the murderer strikes again. Now Maya must return to L.A. to confront him. Makkar will play Loni Cho, a Deputy District Attorney and the lead attorney on Amelia’s murder.

Before this new murder mystery arrives, you can catch Makkar on Mindy Kaling’s “Champions” which premieres March 8. The show is about gym-owning womanizer Vince and his handsome but dumb brother Michael. Vince’s life changes when his high school sweetheart, Priya (Kaling) shows up with a pre-teen son he never knew about. Makkar plays Britney who is Vince’s on-again-off-again girlfriend since they were 13. Hasan Minhaj also stars in the show as Priya’s rich brother.

Makkar was last seen on Fox’s “The Exorcist” and CW’s “The Vampire Diaries.” Be sure to catch her on “Champions” and “The Fix” premiering soon!
